    Road Minister: All Measures Being Ensured for Smooth Eid Journey

    Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam has announced that the government is ensuring all necessary arrangements to make the journey of homebound people safe and smooth for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.

    He made this statement on Sunday (May 10) while attending the inaugural ceremony of Maritime Safety Week-2026 at the Ladies Club on Eskaton Road in the capital.

    State Minister for Shipping, Rajib Ahsan, who was also present at the event, stated that it is possible to bring down waterway accidents to zero through our awareness and responsibility. He instructed the maritime police to stop the operation of unauthorized and unfit vessels ahead of Eid.
