    52,334 Bangladeshi Hajj Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia

    As of 2:59 AM on Monday night, a total of 52,334 Bangladeshi pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year. They reached Saudi Arabia on a total of 134 flights, including both government and private carriers.

    This information was provided in the latest Hajj-related bulletin on Tuesday. The Help Desk announced this data, citing sources from airlines, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Hajj Office in Dhaka, and Saudi Arabia.

    According to the Help Desk, 25,073 pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia on 63 flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 18,402 on 49 flights by Saudi Airlines, and 8,889 on 22 flights by Flynas Airlines. Of these, 4,071 pilgrims traveled under government management, while 48,263 arrived under private management.

    A total of 78,500 people from Bangladesh have received permission to perform Hajj this year. This operation is being managed by 660 agencies, comprising 30 principal agencies and 630 coordinating agencies.

    The first Hajj flight (BG3001), carrying 419 pilgrims, departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Jeddah’s King Abdul Aziz International Airport at 11:57 PM on April 17. The flight was inaugurated by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

    According to the Hajj Office, out of the total pilgrims, 4,565 will perform Hajj under government management, and 73,935 under private management.

    Subject to the sighting of the moon, the holy Hajj is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia on May 26.

    Return flights from Jeddah will commence on May 30, following the completion of Hajj rituals. The final flight will depart for Dhaka on June 30.
